About the Book

The book entitled To My Garden is a collection of poems, parables and quotations. Also included in the book are some of my drawings that I thought would accompany several of the poems.

Poetry and Its Impact

Some of the poems could be considered Christian while others are not. I think some poems should incite emotion in a reader and ideas. Ideas and emotion can go hand in hand but they don't have to in poetry.

The Nature of Poetry

I also think that poetry opens up the unconscious as well as comes from it. In other words a poem is an experience and not just a set of words arranged so a reader can get it.
