The Case of the Pretty Reflection

is one of the first books to be introduced by Through the Keyhole books. Mary Joyner-Stoddard does an excellent job of telling stories with rhythm and rhyme. This particular story is simple and sweet. We all have seen a child trying to get to the other side of the mirror. The pretty reflection character has a short investigation. Of course, she solves the mystery.

I see a small face with a cute little nose. That could be me, don’t you suppose? I’m sure it’s a girl in this shiny reflection, with eyes that sparkle and a creamy complexion.

Just like Columbo, I’ll do some detecting so I can find out whose face is reflecting. With one eyebrow raised, I continue to ponder. There may be a hint in the room over yonder.

This is a fun little book for your child to enjoy again and again.
