About the Book
This book is about my life as a teenager growing up in Rhodesia during the 1970s. The book holds stories of hard and very difficult times, coping with the impact of living in the era of apartheid and political unrest.
I was a young girl, who loved the warm, sunny, beautiful African climate, but my life was not always fun and games. My schooling and general upbringing would be severely frowned upon these days, as I was taught by people who imposed racist and unhealthy views.
Within these pages I recall my happy and carefree youth, including the worst of times too, when I was betrayed by my best friend in the worst way possible. This book contains some adult content and is not suitable for young readers.
