The Tales from Our African Ancestors

The Tales from Our African Ancestors are stories that have been orally told by African grandmothers to their grandchildren in many generations.

Nasilele in Trouble is one of the stories that Margareths grandmother told her, a story which Margareth then decided to share it with her classmates at St. Elizabeth Catholic Primary School, in Richmond, London.

When her teacher read this story, she inspired Margareth to translate the tale in English language, so that every child can read it.

This is the first book of the Tales from Our African Ancestors. Next summer, Margareth will go back to her grandmother to get yet another story to translate for other children to read.
