Without graphic description, I highlight a major issue in America today that rarely gets discussed outside of celebrity news stories. Domestic abuse has lasting effects on those it touches including the victims, their friends, and their loved ones. Strong. Brave. Powerful. brings attention to the topic while telling the story of strength and recovery. It also includes so many of my favorite things: cooking competition, plenty of strong women, good food, a little humor, and a bit of football. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
