Plot Summary

An unusual murder in San Francisco puzzles the SFPD. As the police start to piece together the facts, they become convinced that international spies are involved.

Main Character

Mick Grundy's story unfolds, starting with his exploits with the CIA in an ill-fated mission in the Crimea. He becomes the hunted, and is nearly killed.

Climax

Mick seeks revenge and is ruthless and savage when he finds a terrorist cell about to do mayhem to innocent civilians.

Setting

The story returns to San Francisco where Mick becomes the hunter.
