Synopsis

An intriguing request from a friend at his twenty-fifth college reunion takes P.I. John Marshall Tanner to Charleston, South Carolina.

Seth Hartman fought for civil rights in the sixties, and his past is catching up to him. Branded as a traitor to his race by the Alliance for Southern Pride, the lawyer is now receiving death threats from the right-wing hate group.

Going undercover at the Alliance, Tanner finds himself at the heart of a racial debate that is still very much alive as he struggles to discover just who is behind the group, and why they are targeting Seth.
