About Derek Kingman

Derek Kingman wants to be normal. He wants to escape his past, his dead father, and his darkness. It feeds off him from the inside out as he suffocates in the small town that watched and did nothing while his father committed inhuman acts right before his very eyes as a child. Now his dad's voice and atrocities forever haunt him in his nightmares, both nocturnal and waking.

His New Beginning

He believes he can change his fortune, fill that widening internal void with a change of scenery and perhaps a future in the City of Angels. Derek's on the hottest reality show the Xtreme Channel has to offer, Social X. Its simple; he lives with seven other slightly damaged, stupid, and/or annoying humans for a few months, opens what he hopes to be a successful business, gets laid multiple times, gets high, and slowly devours the nothingface that stirs inside him.

The Unfolding

He is wrong . . . but lucky for the audience, they get to slowly see it all unfold live on their television sets and live Internet feeds . . . and they can't get enough.
