About the Story

Star and her stuffed sloth, Slothie, do everything together. They are the best of friends. Star wishes more than anything that her stuffed sloth would come to life.

The Setting

The only place where this type of magic could take place would be in Costa Rica, at a one-of-a-kind sloth sanctuary.

The Adventure

Star embarks on the adventure of a lifetime and slowly witnesses the magic that brings her sloth to life. As Slothie discovers his sense of happiness and home in Costa Rica, Star realizes he will be happiest if he stays there.

The Lesson

Thanks to her inner strength and love for Slothie, Star discovers that sometimes letting go is the deepest form of love one can give. It is a love that can bless so many others—in this case, a family of sloths.
