Should I Become a Lector?

Liturgy is the "work of the people," and all Christians are called to participate. Responding to the call, a lector is a person with normal abilities for reading and understanding Scripture, and a desire for proclaiming the Word of God. Lectors must feel comfortable reading in public, and should be committed to living a life that reflects the sacred Word that they proclaim.
