Teaching at sentence level is essential to improve writing. Knowing this, I desperately searched for a book packed full of sentence models that I could use to inspire my students. On discovering that no such book existed, I spent the next year poring over hundreds and hundreds of books to tap into the magic formula of what makes a great sentence.
