Setting

The frontier of New Mexico in the 1870s is the location of conflict between a mother and the man who wants to take her son.

Characters

Bekka Hudson has done everything to take care of her sons. Now the father of the oldest wants him back. She was not going to let that happen.

Conflict

Jeb Morgan was sent to get Bekka's son and bring him to his father. He was not happy about the assignment and not happy about Bekka's attitude.

Story Elements

The clash of the two leads to violence and romance, all in the valley Bekka called the Sanctuary.
