Summer is a little baby bear who lives with her parents and older siblings in the middle of Blueberry Woods.

She is cute, smart, adventurous, and determined to be just like the runaway monkey in the story her grandmother read to her the night before. After she packs a few of her favorite things, Summer escapes in the middle of the night. Soon after she finds a good spot to camp, the little bear meets Callie, a new bear friend, who decides to share her tent with her. Meanwhile, Summer's family is becoming more worried by the day and start searching for her. But little do they know that Summer is starting to get homesick. Will the little bear ever find her way back home?
