Royal Brothers tells the story of young King Edward V and his younger brother, the Duke of York, who were imprisoned, proclaimed illegitimate, and murdered—while their uncle Richard made himself King Richard III. While Strickland took painstaking efforts with her writing, critics would later deem her work as sentimental and lacking impartiality.
