Focus of the Book

This book has been about the "development" in the context of underdevelopment of land, economy and society of countries of the South as compared to the capitalist economy of countries of the North. This framework gives an impetus to the author to work on a new strand to development, as the author aims to stretch in geography into geography and political economy—all knit together nicely to which the author has called geographical historiography.
