About the Book

This book is a guide to critical reflective practice that highlights cultural differences and their impact on the therapeutic relationship. It is designed for therapists in training as well as more experienced practitioners. The book addresses important topics such as power and privilege in relation to class and race, gender and sex, (dis)ability and age. Readers are encouraged to respond to questions about their values and beliefs, worldviews and ideologies, and assumptions about theories of change, as well as their own health and healing process.
