In 2016 Martha was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I woke up every morning and began to write what was on her heart.

It was important for her to reflect on the many experiences when God spoke to her and walked her through her life's journey. As she did, the messages continued flowing from her pen. As she found herself being encouraged by these thoughts and stories, she soon realized that they were taking the form of a devotional that she could share with others who were going through similar challenges.
