Young girls are being taken from the streets of Melbourne, and Victoria Police are swamped.

Now, Callum Thomas, former homicide squad detective, recovering alcoholic, and struggling private investigator, has to put aside his cravings to find Rachel Gallagher, the missing seventeen-year-old with the face of Callum's own deceased daughter, Stacey.
