Eric Shumpert was raised in Tupelo, Mississippi. He has been writing poetry over 10 years. Through the urging of friends, family, and fans of his work he has decided to take his work to the next level. Eric's poetry is a reflection of his life experiences.

His Work and Style

He writes poetry that encompasses things people experience through everyday life. There is no subject off limits to him, he dares to push those limits and surpass them. He shows that he is capable of writing from more than one perspective. His poems have something for everyone to relate to no matter the gender, race, or social status.
