Our Need to Believe
We have the intrinsic need to believe in our purpose, meaning, and design in this world, lifetime . . . whatever. Without that, our reason for being, for our existence, is futile. We become obsolete, unnecessary or so we are led to believe. Its pure arrogance, egotism. Yet its imperative to our survival as a species and vital to our evolution.
The Nature of Existence
It is not enough to just be. How ludicrous is it to entertain the notion that we're in this world just to live in it. Imagine yourself stopping to smell a rose. Out of all the billions of flowers in this world, that rose, until you happened, went unnoticed by all others.
The Significance of Perception
Your seeing, smelling, appreciating, and touching it validates the existence of that solitary rose. But is that rose's existence truly defined by your acknowledgment? Or is it just a rose and you just someone smelling it?
