Notable Poems and Inspirations
The poem Put Something Away was written in the year 1963. The idea first came about hearing my Grandfather saying to my relatives and warning them not to spend all their earnings, but to put some away for the rainy day. What he was really saying to put some cash in the bank, so one day you will be able to achieve greater things (home).
The poem Where Is My Home is about a friend's home that was burned-down New Year's Day 2011. This brings sadness and distress not only to my friend, but to many who witness this great disaster. This is a poem of grief and sadness.
The poem Yesterday is based on the stages of life, from the mother's womb to birth and eventually death.
