At the age of forty-five and with no family history of breast cancer, author Tamara Kaye Severin received the staggering news that she had malignant tumors in both breasts. A busy wife and mother with a prospering career, she was used to being independent and doing it all herself. She soon learned, however, that that would not be the way for her to beat cancer.
