About the Book

The Pickle is a cute story about what happens when a five year old sneaks and eats a pickle at her desk in her classroom after recess, not realizing that her first grade teacher is allergic to pickles.

The setting is back in the late 40s, when school rules were strict and discipline was swift.

The results are both hilarious and heartrending when the school principal, who is called in to take disciplinary action on the culprit, becomes the hero to both the teacher and student, but for entirely different reasons.
