About the Volume

The Volume Contains Papers Presented At The International Symposium On Phycology Organized As Part Of Prof. M.O.P. Iyengar Centenary Celebration The University Of Madras, Indian National Science Academy, Council Of Scientific And Industrial Research, Asia Network Of Biological Sciences, Committee Of Biological Sciences, Committee Of Science And Technology For Developing Countries. The celebrations were divided into 5 groups namely: classification of algae, algae in freshwater ecosystem, marine algae - their productivity and utilization, fossil diatoms and biostratigraphy, algal biofertilizers and terrestrial ecosystems.
