Introduction

The PatioRudi is a student at the Faculty of Science at a university in an ex-communist country. She entered a prestigious competition of tenders at the University of British Columbia.

A wheelchair boy coincidently crossed her way (at the airport in Vancouver), and she suddenly had to face with many changes and choices in her life.... A very satisfied, sarcastic and selfish smirk accompanied his cool-headedness. He wrote some letters on a piece of napkin placed on a decorative rail on their table and shifted the napkin piece towards Andrew...

The Escape

...One, two, three, and ruuuun! I pulled the wheelchair in front of me ... after a while it absorbed the power of my arm ... The water friction finished the movement ... the wheels stopped twisting and we were shot into the water ... Splash! ... Sincere laughter cracked the dense air......

Final Reflection

I must say NO. Life is too short to sit on any patio. I dont want to become your patio, Rudi. You gave me your heart, your legs and my dreams. .... I wont allow you to sit on the patio. His palms pushed his wheels. He reversed, turned the wheelchair ... and left...
