The Author and His Beliefs

Will Jones is a creative engineer. He believes that engineering is the highest form of art because it conforms to truth. For example, Newcomen's steam engine, Telford's bridge, the Wright brothers' plane, Tesla's induction motor, all worked magnificently. They weren’t hype or wishful thinking. Politics in our time, on the contrary, has become the art of the lie. Our civilization will never work magnificently without a revolution that makes it conform to the truth.
