Tom Brown is urged by his parents to get his life straightened out. He does not have a single notion on this subject. The author's ironic style makes this story incredibly entertaining. Tom Brown's observations of his parents, other adults, friends, and aimless characters are so true to life, with just enough exaggeration to make them howlingly funny. All characters come across as believable and incredibly funny. A highly entertaining read.
