My Inspiration for Writing This Book
I decided to write this book because of something my granddaughter said about me. She told her mother that “grandma is obsessed with God.” When I found out her opinion of me, I said, “Praise God! She gets me!” I must admit, though, that I am obsessed with God. Her statement really opened my eyes to understand how I feel about God. This has been such a revelation to me about myself.
What Does It Mean to Be Obsessed?
Obsessed means to constantly think about something, to dwell on that thing, and to be preoccupied with it. Obsessed kind of has a negative tone to it, so I guess I would prefer maybe saying that “I'm really into the Lord!”
Why Am I Obsessed with God?
Because God loves me for who I am. Warts and all. He healed me from major clinical depression and suicidal ideations. He also, over the years since I became a committed Christian, has performed many miracles in my life and has answered many of my prayers, which have continued to feed into my obsession with God.
My Daily Obsession
My obsession with God is that I eat, sleep, talk about and breathe Jesus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. He's all that I want to think about and talk about!
