New Voice
Welcome to my world and this new voice of mine
I have had Parkinson's disease (PD) since 1988 and have also been dealing with clinical depression (CD) for most of my life. In July 1995, I joined the internet and then I joined an online PD support group (cunningly disguised as a cyber-family). Both events changed my life. I then discovered that I love writing, including all the learning that is buried in it.
For me, this volume is comprised of over 150 e-mail messages sent to my PD support group pals online (aka my cyber-siblings) as well as to my family and friends. These messages are unprecedented (in me at least), featuring poetry and prose pieces along with a few humor items just to keep us all on our toes.
Speaking of digits, most punctuation and uppercase characters went awol in my early QWERTY years, mainly due to PD and its effects on my peripherals. I don't miss them one bit, and I don't think you will either if you come along and join me on my sixteen-year trek into the cyber-light.
