Introduction

This book is intended to update the many individuals that may not know that much about Black history, especially about the beginning of the slavery with the first ten blacks given to the Spaniards on their voyage around the coast of Africa in 1442, when the first contact was made with the Moors.

Historical Context

Some Moors was captured by an officer with the Spaniard first expedition around the Atlantic coast of Africa, as that officer was directed to carry those Moors back to Africa; in exchange for them he received ten blacks and a quantity of gold dust.

Impact of the Slave Trade

These ten blacks and their ancestors were the beginning of the slave trade in the Americas and may it be known that many lives of young African Natives were lost during their ship voyages to the new world beginning in the early 1500s.
