In the ruins of Atlanta

Two brother squirrels are born near a broken wall. Walnut and Twigbud are nearly old enough to fend for themselves when their mother is taken by a hawk.

The Journey

These two brothers go on a journey across the broken city to climb the Mountain, and speak to the Great Spirit that made squirrels the first of all creatures.
