About the Author

For author Catherine Marinelli-Gagliano, a parent of two children with special needs, life often appears topsy-turvy to those on the outside, but there is a definite itinerary. She admits she sometimes takes one step forward and three steps back, but eventually she advances. In A Mothers Intuition, she shares her story of how she and her husband raised one son diagnosed with autism and another with Aspergers.

Her Journey

Relying upon her faith, her strength, her nuclear family, and chance encounters with kind strangers along the way, Catherine Marinelli-Gagliano tells how she battled a gamut of professionals, including superintendents, principals, teachers, neurologists, psychiatrists, and others who should have known better in order to secure a better future for her two boys. Often at odds with friends and family as well as school bus matrons and state agencies, she never faltered in her efforts to create a better world for her sons. She’s a mother-warrior equipped with a strong faith and an infallible intuition when it comes to the challenges facing her children.
