About the Book

From the moment he takes his first steps, Morty the moose senses something is different about him. He's not sure what sets him apart from the others. But as he runs and plays in the many colors of the forest, the other animals back away and stare at him. Some even look at him in awe, but they leave him all alone.

After the passing of the seasons, Morty wanders into a refuge where he finds acceptance. He learns he is snowy white — a very special moose indeed.

This rhyming picture book for children follows Morty as he grows and discovers that it's okay to be different.
