My Book

My book entitled "Miracles at I hop," explained my experiences with the international house of prayer at Kansas City, Mo. From January to the end of March, I gained some spiritual healing. The friends I made at Kansas City were overwhelming, such as my roommates, the Simeon, who was in some ways like family to me.

Early mornings, we had classes together in one of the buildings, mostly with guest speakers from the house of prayer. Our main focus was 24/7 prayer in the prayer room. By one o'clock, we shared the same lecture hall with the FSM classes. There were times we went on outings, such as feeding the homeless and street evangelism, for example, spreading the good news during the Saint Patrick's Day Parade.

Whenever someone needed housing or financial support, I hop often came through to assist us. There were moments when people hurt others by their actions or words, and it was important to understand that the international house of prayer is not considered heaven, just a temporary place where individuals can find some relief, whether physical or emotional pains are healed.

"Miracles at I hop" wasn’t just Johnny Wong miracles, but everybody’s miracles—women, men, girls, and guys who laid hands in prayer over my mental conditions. Whenever anybody went out of their way, whether offering me a place to stay, just asking how I was doing, or even giving a ride to the supermarket, FSM classes, or conferences, it was a big help.

The Saturday home group, the Metro Church, was a great time, sharing a wonderful meal together, laughing, and talking with each other. There were funny jokes about I hop, and not a lot of people admired the New Yorker, Chinese, or Boston accents.

I hope this book will be enjoyable for everybody at the international house of prayer.

Sincerely, Johnny Wong
