'Maryann Did It!'
Introduction
As a child, I had a big imagination and I created an imaginary friend, Maryann. This is my story about my imaginary friend, the trouble I got into, and what I learned from my mistakes.
The Nature of Imagination
As we know, children often have big imaginations, and although this can be fun, sometimes it can cause a problem. Heather, a little girl with a creative mind, finds this out.
Heather and Maryann
Heather has a friend, Maryann, whom she loves to play with, but Maryann is imaginary. Even though Maryann is not real, Heather tries to get out of trouble by blaming everything on Maryann.
The Story's Message
This story begins by showing a bond between Heather and Maryann; however, when Heather starts blaming things on Maryann, Mom has to step in. This brings a whimsical tale of a little girl and her imaginary friend.
