Maid Marian

“Maid Marian” is a 1822 novella by English novelist Thomas Love Peacock. His fourth long work of fiction, its completion was delayed due to Peacock's recruitment into the East India Company in 1819. Because of this, it was considered a copy of Sir Walter Scott's “Ivanhoe”, even though its composition had actually predated Scott's work. An exciting and entertaining story full of rivers, castles, forests, abbeys, monks, maids, kings, and bandits; “Maid Marian” is an epic tale not to be missed by lovers of Peacock's fantastic work and fans of romantic fiction.

About Thomas Love Peacock
