Introduction

Maggie''s Kitchen Tails: Dog Treat Recipes and Puppy Tales to Love was inspired by our rescued puppy, Maggie, at her age of eight weeks. She is believed to be a German Shepherd and Border Collie. She had been beaten, abused, and said to have been tossed in a river to drown.

When rescued, she was afraid and needed special foods due to her lack of proper nourishment and underdevelopment. Our book contains short stories, most of which inspired a special recipe. All recipes are researched for proper ingredients and tested by many dogs receiving their approval. They are made with human-grade ingredients and carefully researched for quality and goodness for a dog’s diet. Many recipes were reviewed and approved by our veterinarian.

Stories and Content

The stories are about the adventures of Maggie as she has been growing up; Momo, a Shih Tzu puppy who has always been loved with special events with her human grandparents but suffers from severe allergies. The book also includes stories of many of Maggie and Momo’s friends and other rescue dogs, sharing their own tales.

Also included is a section for first aid, a list of emergency supplies, and resources for financial assistance for veterinarian care for those who cannot afford it. Our book is written to donate funds from each paperback sold to various rescue groups that help abused dogs, aiming to stop abuse and re-home dogs to forever families.

Our Stars

Both Maggie and Momo are stars in this book, each facing their own health issues, which is why we spend our time searching for the proper foods to keep them healthy.
