Frances Eliza Hodgson Burnett (1849–1924) was a British-American playwright and author most famous for her children's novel The Secret Garden (1911). Other notable works by this author include: Queen Silver-Bell (1906), Racketty-Packetty House (1906), and The Shuttle (1907).
