Synopsis

Mary Lou's 'Helping Hand Project Mary Lou's class visit a number of charities for their projects, the first being The Guide Dogs Association for the Blind, where they learn about guide dogs and blind people.

The Naylors look into fostering Laila after her parent car accident, until her Uncle Seve adopts her, addressing the issues of death, fostering, and adoption.

The bake sale is a resounding success and the Naylors meet Gladys Henders, who has magic pendants: a large diamond and tiger tooth. The pendants have the ancient powers of Animaje, helping them on their missions to protect endangered species, showing them visions of their future travel.
