Introduction

This volume of lifetime poems contains the selections that had been omitted (much to my wife’s chagrin) from volume 1, as well as poems written after the publication of the first volume. The poems in the section devoted to other works are actually also love poems, but the love is that for children and grandchildren, which of course differs from spousal love.

About the Poems

The reader may wonder about the dearth of poems for my two sons. When my last two grandchildren were infants, I was confronted by the writer’s blank wall—that is, when age claimed me and my muse deserted me. They were not the only ones affected by my writer’s block: all of my loved ones were.
