Life on the move
Traveling with horses, wagon and goats
Journey in Andalusia
Domenica and Michael plan to spend the winter in Andalusia. They travel in an eco-friendly manner by harnessing their two horses to a covered wagon and bringing their two goats along.
Travel Route
They set off from the Black Forest, heading for France. After experiencing merciless heat and extreme drought, they are driven south by the frosty mistral wind.
Survival and Challenges
They find a hut with a large wood-burning stove. Shortly after, they fight for survival during a snowstorm.
Arrival in Spain and Portugal
In the spring, they reach Spain and travel to Santiago de Compostela. They make friends, lose their goats, experience the constant rain of Galicia, and spend another winter in Portugal.
Lessons Learned
They spent four years learning to cope with extreme situations, with life itself as their teacher, until they finally found a place to stay among all their new friends.
