You wake up floating in the Anacostia River, outside of Washington D.C., and your only memory of how you got there is a mysterious ring and a dame. There's always a dame. That's Randy Cook's problem.
The Plot
Now, he has to figure out why someone tried to kill him over a small-time art show. Along the way, he encounters bootleggers, corruption, the Klan, and a treehouse where one shouldn't exist. It all ends in The Pine Barrens.
