Liz trucks her family halfway around the world to buy decorations for the mountain house at the request of Bertha. Liz does this to protect them.

Denny learns to hold her own against an angry husband who needs a few good lessons from Charlie. While doing so, she finds her backbone and stands up for herself. She takes lessons from a most unusual source.

Carol finds love with an associate of Tommy's. They buy a small home and live close to her family. She turns worker houses into dormitories for children and women with babies.
