Josh and The Sock Army

is a fun and entertaining story about a boy who goes looking for his missing red sock. His imagination takes over and he ends up in a secret cave under his house. In the cave Josh finds a giant sock army, bent on revenge for all the stinky feet that people have put in them.

This story reminds me of the children's books I grew up with. It promotes using one's imagination and seeking out adventure. I think that kids now have so many distractions and electronic toys that it is hard for them to engage in this type of creativity.
