Jonathan Bradfort - Adventures
Lady Bradfort's Discovery
Lady Bradfort came upon village Western Africa. She discovered native boy hiding from White Slave Traders. She decided to take him home. She remembered the boy's early years when she attended the village with a group of Missionaries. She decided to adopt the boy. Her family was against it. She is a dominant force of the family.
Jonathan's Name and Achievements
She named the boy Jonathan. Jonathan proved his worth. In France, he saved his adopted brother's life. In England, his knowledge in medicine saved Lady Bradfort's life. In America, he saved his older adopted sister's husband’s life. Marcela, who betrayed him earlier, redeemed herself. She brought Jonathan's childhood sweetheart.
Bert's Observation
Bert peered outside the front window of the sitting room. His father was preparing the chores list when he heard his son say, “Mom has taken to Jonathan.” It was barely a moment before they were apart.
Sir Bradfort's Comment
Sir Bradfort looked up and said, "You can credit her for one thing. Jonathan has advanced into an intelligent young man."
"I know, I owe him my life in France," Bert murmured.
