You may never have heard of John Chrysostom but open these pages and meet a man of faith, courage, humility, and endurance. Here is a man who not only believed in the sufficiency of Scripture in matters of faith and practice, for which he suffered much criticism and harassment, but in the power of God through preaching. It was for his God-given, Spirit-empowered gift in proclaiming God's Word that he was given the name of Golden Mouth by later generations.
