About Samantha

Samantha is a bright, loving, seven-year-old girl whose life on this earth comes to a halt when she has to learn to deal with cancer. Her legs have become weak and semi-paralyzed. Her heart is sad because she is not able to run and play with other children. She watches out the window while her friends go off to school.

The Worsening Condition

Her condition worsens to the point of no return. Her parents decide that the best place for her is hospice because they want their loving daughter to have the very best of care. A volunteer devotes time and love to her and teaches her about a very important skill that she can use at any time of the day or night. She practices with Sam every day. She teaches her to become independent in the use of this skill. She plays with the skill, uses it often, and prepares herself for a new life.

Finding Peace

Samantha finds her peace at hospice after a long, heart-wrenching period of despair.
