About the Collection

A collection of 25 poems that span the course of the author's time studying English at Western Washington University. From the topic of nature to the topic of social justice, these works take the reader through the tribulations of depression, helplessness, frustration, and the relief of seeing it through to the other side.

Themes and Reflection

Goodbyes aren't always how we imagined them when we first said hello, but they're always what they were meant to be. Though spanning only two years, the poems in this collection reflect the metamorphosis of an untested writer into one with identity and purpose.
