Marriage and Commitment

Marriage is a commitment to a person as a result of a covenant made. Most of us know of couples who have been physically separated for a prolonged period because of a job or study or immigration laws, yet remained faithful to each other. We know that there are many married people who live together yet are unfaithful to each other. Whats the difference? Commitment. Commitment is a decision to reach a destination at the start of the journey. You know that you will not allow anything to distract you or cause you to change your mind.
