Christie has brought to life a fun story that grew in her imagination about one of her nieces.

Heather and her older sister, Lydia, have ridden since they were babies. Seeing the special bond Heather had with Ladybug and Sam, her first horses, gave Christie the idea for this book.

Heather is grown now and continues to ride horses. She barrel races every chance she gets and she still loves to feel the wind in her hair.
